Occasionally an amateur or performing artist may create music and then have a need for a traditional manuscript notation of that music. A tape or CD of the recorded material can be transcribed as needed. The original material remains the intellectual property of the client and the client is responsible for any copyright issues that may apply. Usually transcriptions are done to meet client needs for acceptable copyright submission or to serve as lead sheets for accompanists. In general, transcription fees are determined by work time required. Examples cannot be provided here because all work done remains the property of the client and cannot be posted.
